DC Entertainment announced plans Tuesday to bring back "Batman Day" later this year, set for Saturday, Sept. 26. After the success of DC's July 2014 event which celebrated 75 years of the Dark Knight, DC will be continuing the Bat-bash, as they honor all things Batman.

Like last year, Batman Day will be celebrated at participating comic book shops, libraries and bookstores, and Batman Day-specific promotional items are scheduled to be available as part of the event. No specifics have yet been announced as to when and where, but DC names Jim Lee, Grant Morrison, Scott Snyder, David Finch, Brian Azzarello, Dustin Nguyen, Cameron Stewart, Pat Gleason, Tom King, Tim Seeley, Dan Jurgens, Jeff Parker, Daniel Wallace and Matthew Manning as among the talent slated to appear at various events.

Licensees Capstone, Penguin Random House, Scholastic and DK Publishing will partner with DC for Batman Day merchandise. DC dubs the day an "annual event," suggesting a 2016 return is likely -- though the day bears no relation to another, considerably less official, "Batman Day" from earlier this year.
