Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo's Batman: Damned and Scott Snyder and Jock's The Batman Who Laughs have both made it onto the New York Times' revived Bestselling Graphic Novel list for the week of October 13, 2019.

Batman: Damned took spot #9 on the list while The Batman Who Laughs trailed not too far behind at #11. Both titles have received positive reception from both critics and fans alike since their respective debuts.

Debuting in September 2018, Azzarello and Bermejo's Batman: Damned kicked off DC's Black Label line with a standalone story that follows the Dark Knight as he attempts to solve the mystery of The Joker's death. The series gained quite a bit of traction shortly after the release of its first issue due to its full-frontal reveal of Bruce Wayne.

Snyder and Jock's, The Batman Who Laughs is a followup to DC's 2017 event Dark Knights: Metal. The fan-favorite series takes readers through the cynical, Dark-Multiversal plan of The Batman Who Laughs, who can only be stopped if Bruce Wayne himself breaks his only rule and takes the villain's life.
