When the Joker and his clowns attacked Gotham City, Bao Pham took it upon himself to protect his neighborhood by suiting up as Clownhunter. The teenager lost his parents at a young age after they were killed by the Clown Prince of Crime, and he once believed Batman could save Gotham. But when the Caped Crusader failed to protect the people during the Joker War, Bao took a batarang he had found, attached it into a baseball bat, and put together a costume to declare his own war on every clown-mask wearing thug in the city.

Now, even though the Joker War has come to an end, Clownhunter's crusade continues: he's hunting down all of the regular citizens who joined the Joker's army, and he's now targeted Harley Quinn. It's during his confrontation with Harley that Bao reveals the perfectly ridiculous name he gave to his signature weapon.

While Clownhunter made his debut only a few months ago, the character already stands out thanks to his unique look that is only complete with his already iconic bat. With the batarang affixed at the top, Bao has wielded his weapon with murderous intent, using it's sharp edges to brutally kill plenty of the Joker's followers.

Now, in Batman #103, the young vigilante moves on to his next target: Harley Quinn. Harley may now be more of an anti-hero, but Clownhunter either doesn't know, or he simply doesn't care. To him, Harley is a clown who has committed plenty of villainous acts in Gotham City, and that's all that matters. He finds Harley in her new apartment, and he wastes no time in attacking her. He swings his bat repeatedly, but she avoids him at every turn.

During the battle, the two talk to one another, and it's at this moment that Clownhunter reveals the name of his weapon: he calls it the Bat-bat.

The name sort of makes sense. After all, it's a bat, adorned with a batarang. It literally is a bat-bat, which makes the name equally perfect and ridiculous. It's a name Batman himself would be proud of.

After all, the Caped Crusader uses the "bat" moniker to give names to his weapons, gadgets and vehicles, whether that is the Batcave, the Batmobile or yes, even his emergency power reserve, the Bat-tery.

This goes to show that even though Bao Pham is already a dangerous killer, he still shows qualities that are similar to Batman. The name is humorous, and it proves that Bao is just as good (or is it bad?) as Bruce Wayne at naming things. This could further fuel the theory that Batman will eventually take Clownhunter under his wing and make him his new sidekick. After all, the two make a hell of a pair.
