As Batman writer James Tynion IV prepares for the "Joker War" miniseries, he suggested that Tom King and Clay Mann's Batman/Catwoman may not be part of Batman canon. In an interview with Newsarama, Tynion gave his perspective on whether Batman/Catwoman's continuity, especially Catwoman's pregnancy, affects his upcoming "Joker War" storyline. Tynion explained, "That’s more the purview of Tom King and his book, which is sort of moving outside the bounds of continuity, as far as I understand."RELATED: Joker War: Batman's James Tynion IV Teases The Joker's Ultimate Plan

"Right now, we’re focusing on the core Batman story, happening in the pages of Batman," he continued. "I’m very excited to read Batman/Catwoman in the same way I’m excited to read Three Jokers, but neither of them really have much effect on the core story I’m telling."After Tynion offered his view, Batman/Catwoman artist Clay Mann retweeted the Newsarama post with a mysterious tweet. He wrote on Twitter, "Or is it..." He followed it up with a black-and-white ink mash-up of Mann's Catwoman and Jorge Jimenez's Batman.
