Who Is Harper Row aka Bluebird?

Harper Row was created in 2011 by writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo, debuting in the first issue of the all-star creative team's iconic Batman run. She became a major fan of Batman after the Dark Knight swooped in to protect her and Cullen from a group of bullies, and she would go out of her way to use her electrical engineering skills to help the hero. Harper makes her first appearance as the vigilante Bluebird in Batman #28.

In recent comics, Bluebird has become an enemy of the Joker's girlfriend, Punchline. In the backup story of the fifteen-issue The Joker series, Harper works against Punchline and her mission to be found innocent of all her crimes, the villain doing so by manipulating the public through social media, Harper's brother included. By the end of the story, Punchline is declared innocent and released from Blackgate Penitentiary. Bluebird will face Punchline once again in her upcoming solo miniseries, Punchline: The Gotham Game, releasing its first issue on Oct. 25, 2022.
