With the internet buzzing over news that the beloved animated series Batman Beyond may have an animated film in development, a familiar voice has expressed interest in joining the rumored project.

Following yesterday's reports that the Warner Animation Group was developing a Batman Beyond animated film for wide theatrical release, Will Friedle, who voiced the main protagonist Terry McGinnis in all three seasons of the original animated series, shared through his Twitter account that he would love a role in the film.

Outside of the animated series, Friedle also voiced the character in the straight-to-video animated film Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker as well the character's appearances on the fellow DC Animated Universe series The Zeta Project, Static Shock and Justice League Unlimited.

Taking place decades into the future of Gotham City, Batman Beyond follows high schooler Terry McGinnis who inherits the mantle of Batman from a retired Bruce Wayne to face a rising crime wave through the cyberpunk vision of the city. Yesterday's report suggested that while no cast or crew for the film had been announced, production is expected to begin next year for a possible 2022 theatrical release.
