One of the most popular series to emerge from the DC Animated Universe is Batman Beyond, and now fans have the opportunity to own the whole series in a limited edition Blu-ray box set.
To celebrate the collection, voice actor Will Friedle, who portrayed the animated series' protagonist Terry McGinnis across all three seasons and subsequent appearances through the DCAU, has shared a video of himself unboxing the set. As Friedle unveiled the extras, he also seemed to tease that a revival of the series may be linked to the success of the home video release.
"The rumor is if we sell enough of these, we get to make more," he said while opening the package. However, it's unclear if he was referring to more episodes or simply more box sets.
In addition to all three seasons and the animated film Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker remastered in high definition for the release, the collection comes with fifteen special features, including the cast and crew looking back on the series. Also included is a chrome Funko Batman Beyond Pop! figure, exclusive to the set, and four lenticular art cards designed for the collection's release.
