A gifted Batman cosplayer debuted a Batman: Arkham City cosplay based on the game's Batman Beyond skin and the results are downright stunning.

Previous costumes from cosplayer SaadleUp, who shared the cosplay on Reddit, have included incredibly detailed Batman suits inspired by Batman: Arkham Knight and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, decided to work on a cosplay for a suit from Arkham Knight's predecessor, Batman: Arkham City. Developed by Rocksteady Studios and released in 2011, Arkham City featured a wide array of suits available to equip for Batman, including a skin inspired by the Batman Beyond animated series. SaadleUp created a cosplay for the skin that shows impressive attention to detail, absolutely knocking the look out of the park.

The costumes match almost perfectly, with the cosplay mirroring the Arkham City skin's dark colors, dense musculature and high-tech equipment. Both costumes capture the sleek look of the batsuit from the Batman Beyond animated series, which aired between 1999 and 2001. Despite the series' cancellation, the show's portrayal of a Batman of the future maintained a cult following. Batman Beyond continues to live on through appearances in DC comics, in video games like the Arkham titles and in cosplays such as the quality work from SaadleUp.

In addition to Arkham City, its 2015 sequel Arkham Knight also included a Batman Beyond-inspired skin, which featured a more heavily armored take on the black-and-red uniform. The Arkham video game saga is set to continue in 2022 with an in-universe spinoff in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. WB Games Montréal is also developing a game about the Bat-family in Gotham Knights, which took inspiration from the mainline Arkham games but is not actually set in the same story world. Both titles are set to make appearances at the upcoming DC FanDome Virtual Event.
