Yesterday, rumors surfaced online that actor Armie Hammer was in final negotiations to replace Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' planned Batman solo film, however, according to the actor himself, he has not even been approached by the filmmakers.

While promoting his latest film, On the Basis of Sex, Hammer commented on the rumor, effectively debunking it while admitting he wishes someone from the studio had approached him.

"No one who can actually give me the job has asked me if I’m interested. I don’t even know if they are done; they are still working on a script," admitted Hammer in an interview with Yahoo. "I don’t think that they are close to production but I can conclusively tell you that no one has checked my availability, which is a bummer."

Hammer had previously been attached to portray Batman in George Miller's Justice League: Mortal over a decade ago before the project was cancelled due to budget and scheduling concerns.
