In Left Unresolved, I spotlight storylines that have been, well, left unresolved.

Today, based on a suggestion from reader Kevin K., we look at an unresolved Batsuit teaser from All-Flash #1!

In Infinite Crisis #4 (by Geoff Johns, Phil Jimenez and Andy Lanning), Wally West and other speedsters tried to temporarily trap Superboy Prime in the Speed Force to keep him from murdering any more Titans...

However, something went wrong and Wally was being drawn into the Speed Force. He saw his wife and two infant children and he told them goodbye...

His wife, Linda, though, wasn't having that and she and the children joined him in the Speed Force and vanished...

A couple of years later, a few members of the Legion of Super-Heroes came to the past and they had a mission where they were going to draw someone through their cosmic lightning rod...

It happened in Justice League of America #10 (by Brad Meltzer, Ed Benes and Sandra Hope)...

and it was Wally, Linda and the kids, who have aged a few years (especially the twins) since we last saw them....

This led into All-Flash #1, by Mark Waid and a few different artists, which mostly shows Wally dealing with the death of Bart Allen right around the same time that Wally returned...

At the end of the issue, Wally asks his Aunt Iris (who is from the future) if she can tell him anything about his future and she says no...

However, we then see flashes of what she is hiding from Wally. Part of it him and his twins serving as a superhero team together (with Linda as sort of tech support)...

the other page of promos shows a Batman costume coming out of a ring like Flash's costume comes out of his ring...

The superhero team concept came true when Waid and Daniel Acuna relaunched Flash with #231...

But Waid's Incredibles-inspired run was cut particularly short. Too short to ever get a resolution of the Batman ring mystery. So I decided to check with Mark to see what the story WOULD have been. Amusingly, he told me that it would have involved the Batman costume coming out of a ring like the Flash's costume and.......that was it. That was as far as he had taken the idea. He was planning on figuring out the rest of it later and obviously he never got to get to that point.

Sorry, Kevin!
