The Dark Knight's war with the Joker reaches its climax in Batman #100, the final chapter in "The Joker War" story arc. With the combined might of the full Bat-Family by his side, Batman will look to cease the Joker's latest onslaught on the citizens of Gotham. Batman #100 will see one of those allies, Batgirl, take on her familiar, fan-favorite role of Oracle to help even the odds.

A preview of Batman #100 starts with Batgirl in the Burnside clock tower. Once Barbara Gordon activates the computer, she removes her Batgirl mask to replace it with a pair of glasses, beginning her transition back to Oracle. After Batgirl is done giving the computer instructions to monitor the Bat-Family and locate rogue clowns, she states, "It's time to let everyone know that Oracle is back online."

DC recently teased Oracle's return in Batgirl #37-44. However, this was an A.I. version of Oracle under the control of Lex Luthor. This month may see Batgirl conclude with an oversized 50th issue, but the return of Oracle may lead to even greater things for Barbara Gordon once "The Joker War" ends.
