Batgirl has officially wrapped filming, and co-director Adil El Arbi shared a behind-the-scenes look at Leslie Grace's costume to celebrate.

El Arbi posted a photo with fellow director Bilall Fallah and Grace still in her costume to announce the end of production. "It was such a great experience and we are thankful to the amazing crew and cast for making this movie next level !!!" the director wrote in the caption. "STAY TUNED Y'ALL !!!"

The photo, thanks to its bright lighting and tight focus, offers the most detailed look at the Batgirl costume so far. Thanks to the shot, the texture and material of the suit and the cowl can be seen, with the latter having a rather unique pattern. The image also further confirms how close the new costume will hue to the comic book version of Barbara Gordon's alter ego, or at least one of the looks she's had over her long history.

Of course, fans have also had a more full-body look at the suit. The official look at Batgirl's costume that was released back in January showed the suit with the cape flowing -- and the colors and lighting provided a better idea of how Barbara will look in the film. Set photos of Grace as Batgirl have also teased how the costume will look in action.

Little is known about the plot of Batgirl, though it will bring back J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Unlike his brief stint as the Batman ally in Justice League, Simmons will get to flex his acting muscles more in the upcoming film since he'll play the father to Grace's Barbara.

"The tiny role that Commissioner Gordon played in Justice League was very businesslike and very, 'Let's see if we can stave off the end of the world!' What appealed to me about this movie was from Jim Gordon's point of voice, it's really more a story about him as a guy and as a father and not just about the guy who's turning on the Bat-Signal and trying to keep the citizens of Gotham safe — although that's obviously also a part of the story," Simmons recently said about his return as Gordon for Batgirl. "But it was a chance to delve into a different aspect of the character."

Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and starring Leslie Grace, Batgirl will premiere exclusively on HBO Max. The film does not yet have a release date, but it's expected to arrive towards the end of 2022.
