9 Tim Drake Chose Being Robin

Jamal Campbell's Tim Drake/Robin climbs a wall in DC Comics.

Batman isn't the only smart DC detective, and he might not even be the best detective in the Bat-Family. That is potentially Tim Drake. Drake grew up in Gotham City and idolized Batman and Robin. After Jason Todd's death, Drake wanted to be the one who replaced him. He eventually was able to figure out Batman's identity and presented himself, asking to be Robin.

That right there is why he's less tenacious than other Bat-Family members. Drake wasn't driven to protect Gotham because of tragedy. He just wanted to be Robin. He proved to be a great hero, but he can never have the tenacity of other members of the Bat-Family.
