Official Press Release

Bang Zoom! Entertainment, a leading full-service audio post production company and producer of original entertainment content, has just announced a special session of the Adventures In Voice Acting(TM) workshop to be held during the 2008 Comic-Con International. The workshop, which was enthusiastically received during the recent 2008 Anime Expo, offers a unique look at how popular animated series from various genres are prepared for North American network broadcast and DVD release. Adventures In Voice Acting will be held from 4:00-5:30pm on Saturday, July 26th in Room 30CDE at the San Diego Convention Center.

The workshop will be hosted by a lively panel of renowned voice actors featuring Hynden Walch (Starfire in Teen Titans), Lance Henriksen (Bishop in Aliens and Mass Effect), Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Steve Blum (Green Goblin in the new The Spectacular Spiderman, Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop). The panelists will give insights on how animated series are dubbed and how technologies are used in the recording and overall post production process, as well as offer an insider's view of the voice acting business with a special focus for those interested in entering the industry. A recording booth and equipment manned by one of Bang Zoom's recording engineers will also be stationed on stage to further recreate the studio experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to record a short segment in the booth and receive pointers from the panelists. Several fun giveaways will also take place throughout the workshop that will include a variety of valuable prizes including manga, t-shirts, DVDs and a chance to attend a more specialized future class worth over $300.00.

Bang Zoom! Entertainment will also offer attendees a coupon to receive a special discount on the newly released ADVENTURES IN VOICE ACTING(TM)- Volume One DVD at the Special Collector/Anime Jungle booth (Booth # 301). This DVD spotlights the behind-the-mic world of the talented and diverse personalities that bring animated and video game characters to life. Bang Zoom! Entertainment produced the film, having completed English language dubs and audio post production for more than 2,000 anime episodes for a wide variety of acclaimed series including Samurai Champloo, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Chobits and Last Exile, in addition to working on a variety of other animated features, live action productions and video games. ADVENTURES IN VOICE ACTING(TM)- Volume One is also available for $29.95 at http://www.adventuresinvoiceacting.com.
