New publisher Bad Idea has recruited some of Hollywood's more unique stars to advertise its new comics line, as well as what sets it apart from other comic companies.

As previously reported, the company intends to ship only two titles every month. Each issue will be a prestige-format package that retails for $3.99 USD. Further, the publisher's inaugural titles will, according to the star-filled video, only be available at 20 retailers across the United States. The company plans to build its readership one comic store at at time and, in order to spread word of their distinct approach to publishing, some odd and obscure stars have lent their voices to the cause.

Viewers will recognize James Van Der Beek, who -- though he admits he never read a comic -- appeared in the comic book-inspired Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Orlando Jones, who was involved with the comic-inspired comedy show MADTV. Other notable stars include Ghostbusters alum Ernie Hudson, who recently appeared on Arrow and had a role in James Barr's The Crow, The Dark Knight's Eric Roberts, X-Men: The Last Stand alum Bill Duke and Robocop star Peter Weller. Along with numerous other spokespersons, this strange group of film, television and music stars ask both retailers and consumers to give Bad Idea a chance.
