Hunter Gorinson, Dinesh Shamdasani and Warren Simons, three former Valiant Entertainment mainstays, are reuniting to launch a new comic book company called Bad Idea.

Along with the announcement, Gorinson revealed a teaser image "featuring artwork from several of BAD IDEA's upcoming series by a murderer's row of talent, including Doug Braithwaite (DC's Justice, Marvel's Journey into Mystery), Tomas Giorello (Valiant's X-O Manowar, Dark Horse's Conan), and Lewis LaRosa (Marvel's Punisher MAX, Valiant's Bloodshot Reborn), and Adam Pollina (Marvel's X-Force)."

As far as specifics, Gorinson teased more information arriving on Feb. 6, "including our launch date, our upcoming creative teams, and several distinctive factors about the company that will certainly turn some heads."

Gorinson served as Valiant Entertainment Manager, Director and VP of Marketing & Communications from 2011-2018; Simons was Valiant Entertainment Executive Editor and Editor-in-Chief from 2011-2018; and Shamdasani, who co-founded Valiant Entertainment in 2005, served as CEO and Chief Creative Officer until 2018.

The common denominator of 2018 is the year DMG Entertainment acquired Valiant. After the buyout, it wasn't long before Gorinson, Simons and Shamdasani all left the company, though Simons remained the longest.
