Following the Final Five Pre-Order event, Bad Idea has confirmed its last wave of titles and creative teams.The titles are Monster Kill Squad, by Christos Gage, Tomas Giorello and Diego Rodriguez; Refuse X Last Resorts, by Matt Kindt, Marguerite Sauvage, Mark Russell and Adam Pollina; Pyrate Queen, by Peter Milligan, Adam Pollina and Tamra Bonvillain; Hero Trade: Passive/Aggressive, by Matt Kindt and David Lapham; and Odinn's Eye, by Joshua Dysart, Tomas Giorello and Diego Rodriguez.
Founded in 2020 by Hunter Gorinson, Dinesh Shamdasani, Warren Simons, Atom Freeman and Josh Johns, Bad Idea is a comic book publisher that prided itself on bucking the trends of traditional comic distribution through "bad ideas." At launch, the company announced it would produce a limited number of series, releasing only one to two issues per month; priced at $3.99, each issue would come in a prestige-format package, with no variant covers, no digital copies and no collected editions. It also began by only distributing its books to 20 select retailers before eventually expanding to more.
In early June, Bad Idea formally announced its plans to cease operations by the end of 2021.
