Bad Idea announced that it will start a coronavirus relief fund for comic retailers impacted by the outbreak.

The fund will start with $25,000 and will be distributed to the 100 retailers of the Bad Idea Destination Store program, as well as those which committed to their yet-to-be announced second wave.

"While this won't solve the problems of every store, we hope that it can help a few take care of an unforeseen emergency or simply help out with the bills," the company said in a statement. "We love comics and the people who make and sell them, and want to help where we can during this uncertain time."

Bad Idea also bore some bad news, postponing its initial launch date of May 6 to sometime later in the year. The comic company did not give a new launch date for its titles.

However, this does not mean that Bad Idea is closing its doors. The company said that creators will continue to work during the industry-wide shutdown. Artists and writers will use the time to expand Bad Idea's initial slate of titles through increasing development and production of new projects, many of which were originally slated to begin in 2021.

A new date for Bad Idea's first release ENIAC has not been announced.
