A new plot synopsis for Bad Boys For Life gives some indication of the movie's plot and new characters.

The synopsis, which you can read below, comes from Production Weekly and teases Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) taking on Armando Armas (Jacob Scipio), who heads up a drug cartel in Miami. Mike apparently has a bounty on his head, which will likely be a major driving force behind the film. The synopsis also teases Paola Nuñez's role as Rite, who is apparently one of Mike's ex-girlfriends.

The new installment centers on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike (Smith). Nuñez will take on the role of Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend- and the one who got away.

At this time, it's unclear how official this synopsis is. However, Production Weekly is a reputable source, so it seems more likely than not that it will prove accurate.
