Happy Saturday and welcome to Shelf Porn! Today we feature a return engagement from one of my favorite Shelf Porn contributions from last year, Eric, who showed us his wonderful collection of homemade movie props. He's moved his collection into a new area and has added several cool items since he last appeared here.

If you'd like to see your collection right here on Robot 6, you can find the details on submitting at the end of this post.

And now, once again, here's Eric ...

Since the last time my office was featured on Shelf Porn, I've moved into a larger work space. I now have much more room for working on props and hobbies, kicking back and watching films, and displaying my growing collection. The room is a work in progress, and we have many cool and exciting plans for it in the near future.

Many of the same pieces that were on display in the old temporary office have found their way here, which include lots of 1:1 helmets, masks, and film props. We've added a Ghostbusters display with a Dr. Peter Venkman suit, as well as a home-made pair of ecto goggles and a Matty ghost trap. This area will eventually have a "containment unit" theme incorporated into the wall. The old BTTF display was also salvaged, although now features the "Marty" hoverboard, which is currently under construction. Still waiting on a pair of Nike Air Mags to display on or near the board. We also have dedicated a corner of the space to Batman cowls and other pieces, which will soon feature a more cave like appearance, and a cowl from the upcoming film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The centrally located brown storage door will eventually be replaced by a "secret" bookcase door, or a 1:1 Han Solo in Carbonite door. Still undecided.

Some of the newer acquisitions include the famed 2003 Alex Ross Spider-Man 1:1 bust (finally!), the 2 foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (HUGE), the large Jaks Pacific Stromtrooper (the largest action figure I've ever owned), the Marty hoverboard, and some miscellaneous helmets, masks, small props, and the foosball table.

Working in this space seems distracting to many of our guests, but for me it has become very positive and meditative to be surrounded by the things I have always loved and been passionate about. My wife deserves as much credit as can be given for essentially allowing me free reign to turn this portion of our home into my own personal playground. Love you babe!
