Oh, it is on.

Baby Yoda (played by SNL cast member Kyle Mooney) made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update last night, calling out Baby Groot and starting a Star Wars/Marvel turf war in the process.

"Baby Groot, do me a favor. Keep my name out your little tree mouth before I snap you like a twig!" Baby Yoda warned. The Mandalorian star also discussed his time on set and announced that he is releasing a mixtape and  working with Netflix on a new comedy special.

The episode of SNL was hosted by Avengers: Endgame's Scarlett Johansson and featured a Marvel-themed cold open, in which Kenan Thompson appeared as Nick Fury and Pete Davidson donned the Infinity Gauntlet.

Disney owns both Marvel and Star Wars (through Lucasfilm), which gives them control over Baby Yoda and Baby Groot.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. A new episode arrives each Friday on Disney+.
