If there's one thing the internet is full of, it's surprises; such was the case when back in 2017, it collectively decided that The Babadook was an LGBTQ icon. The 2014 film of the same name gained a sudden resurgence in popularity after the sinister presence became a queer icon, and now, IFC films is finally giving fans what they've been wanting since then -- a special LGBTQ Pride Edition courtesy of Scream Factory.

Fans can purchase a LGBTQ Pride Edition copy of the fantastic The Babadook from director Jennifer Kent for $19.99. While it doesn't include any extra material than what's readily available on other DVD and Blu-ray editions of the film, it does feature an exclusive slip cover. And more importantly, a percentage of all sales during the month of June will be donated to the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Per Shout Factory, there will only be 2,500 copies produced and it will be sold exclusively through the website. Each copy will be numbered and feature the Pride Month-themed slipcover packaging, which will be shrink-wrapped over the existing Blu-ray release; the slipcover is said to have a "gloss finish with embossed highlights."

It's also worth noting that, while the Los Angeles LGBT Center is in California, the center does provide much-needed services to many -- including those across the country. If you for some reason don't want a Pride Edition of the film, you can make a donation directly to the organization. But if you do want a copy of the prideful Babadook? You may want to hurry before it sells out.
