Super Smash Brothers Ultimate was the game all fans of the series wanted. It has the most characters the series has ever had, with more continually on the way (too many of which are Fire emblem). Even if one of them won't be fan-favorite Waluigi. It's also the most beautiful, being so vivid and gorgeous.

With a roster this deep and franchises this beloved, you'd expect there to be plenty of fan art and you'd be right. Today we are going to take a look at some of the absolute best ensemble pieces that are out there because it wouldn't be Smash if it were just a single character.

10 Put It On A Poster

Ross Tran puts his own spin on a lot of the characters here, giving them stereotypically Asian eyes. This is most noticeable on Ness. While it's not exactly proper for the character, it does make him look even more adorable. The same goes for Pikachu's happy little face.

Mario looks just as amazing, balls of flames in each of his hands and eyes blazing a red hot fire. True to form for a newcomer, the Inkling behind Mario just looks so happy to be there, marveling at all the franchises they can now rub shoulders with.

9 Age Of Mewtwo

This is the near-perfect crossover between both Marvel and Nintendo, almost seamlessly blending the two franchises. Sonic as Quicksilver is absolute perfection, as are the Miis acting as Mewtwo's clones. Among those Mii's is one of Stan Lee, the man who started it all.

As for who's front and center, we have Mario as a scared-looking Captain America and Lady Palutena as a stone-faced Thor. Of all the actual Avengers, Little Mac's grr face as Hulk is one of the most hysterical things about the whole fan art. Xeternalflamebryx really outdid themselves.

8 Rugrats

While the Age of Mewtwo was fantastic, this one might be even better by Xeternalflamebryx. Combining Bowser Jr and the koopalings with Rugrats is a match made in heaven. Love the Reptar in the background as well, him being the Bowser of that universe.

The two best combinations are Angelica as Wendy, giant hairbow, crossed arms and look of pure disdain on her face are perfect for the bully of the babies. Lennie as Dill is equally great, his crazy eyes and silly-looking hair is perfect for a newborn baby who doesn't really know what's going on.

7 Mystery Incorporated

This is the last one on this list by Xeternalflamebryx and it's yet another great piece. This entire list could be composed of their crossovers with Smash, you should really check them out. It has just about every franchise that you could imagine.

This one has Joker, one of the DLC characters for the series, posing as Fred, leader of the Scooby Gang. Fun fact: Joker is from Persona, makes the whole artwork even better. Mixing in a few of the other Persona 5 characters is a smart decision, rather than trying to shoehorn one in from Smash.

6 Swordsmen United

This has the majority of the swordsmen from Smash, most of which come from Fire emblem. This has Marth, Ike, Roy, Pit and Link taking the center stage, each receiving a great amount of detail. The fact you can see the Triforce on Link's sword is beautiful and something that you only notice when you really examine the picture.

Beyond that, the surliness of Ike is great. He looks like he wants nothing to do with this photo op and doesn't even understand why he's there. It's a job well done by NataEliza, giving each character a good bit of personality from their expressions alone.

5 Girl Power

This piece by Bellhenge helps capture some of the ladies of Smash. Going clockwise, you have Peach, Zelda, Rosalina, Lucinda, Palutena, Robin, Wii Fit Trainer, and Samus. The first thing you feel is a warmth from the picture, colors being very vibrant and bright, particularly Palutena's hair.

Their expressions vary greatly as well. Both Samus and Wii Fit Trainer being very serious as you'd expect. Peach and Palutena are more welcoming and inviting. Robin has an inquisitive look as if she doesn't know if the spell she's about to cast will truly work. They all have their unique characteristics firmly bound in the art.

4 Smash Bros!

This is the first piece that isn't digitally done, Sui-Yumeshima going the more traditional route. It gives it a look that while not as clean, is very different from what you usually see. The faces all seem a little more real, without that digital gloss on them.

It's also one of the few that includes one of the best characters in Smash, Metaknight. The way his wings are spread open, bats flying outward, really helps tie the piece together. He works almost like the frame. Kudos are also deserved for both making Kirby look adorable and happy as hell. He looks like the happiest pink blob ever.

3 Chibi

A whole lot is going on in this picture and all of it is adorable, as it should be with the chibi art style. Where to start, well first, Master Hand grabbing hold of Charizard like a scolding parent is funny as hell. As is Donkey Kong gleefully watching on like that baby brother reveling in big brother getting in trouble.

Both Little Mac and Star Fox seem angry about being here, brows knit so far they are practically in their eyes. Captain Falcon looks as smug as a rich kid who just got a new sports car. You could just keep going on and on about all the cool things in this picture, but all that needs to be said is Evil-Usagi did an amazing job.

2 Relaxing

Everyone looks like they are relaxing after a hard day of battling, none more so than Villager who looks beyond exhausted. Greyninja does as well, but Rosalina and Luma seem none too keen on letting him get any shut-eye. Pac-man has luckily escaped any intrusions.

Having the sun setting in the background was a great choice by Fusetsu. It lets Palutena, Sheik, Little Mac, and Wii Trainer all gaze out towards it in varying poses. One of the best parts is Olimar floating around in the evening sky, looking as happy as could be.

1 Gangs All Here

This art has it all, putting in just about every single character from the game inside. Shockingly, considering how many people are in it, everyone gets a chance to look incredibly unique. Everyone isn't just generically trying to fight each other angrily. It's a real credit to JFRteam, a feat so few artists could pull off.

You have ROB getting his head uppercut off by Lil Mac, Pikachu angrily about to headbutt Charizard in the head and Captain Falcon punching Jigglypuff in the face. That's just the combat moments, not even mentioning Wario looking stunned at Palutena's leg nor all the koopalings shoving themselves into Bowser Jr.'s cup.
