All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has released another image in their collaboration with DC Comics. The picture, uploaded to the AEW on TNT Twitter account, depicts fearsome female competitor, Awesome Kong (who may be better known to some fans as the wrestler down as Welfare Queen on Netflix's G.L.O.W.).
Kong reaches out with her left hand, her right pulled back over her head, ready to strike. Her hair is in a state of furious motion as she charges forward, her face a mask of uncontrolled rage.
This latest piece joins previously released artwork depicting fellow AEW wrestlers Jon Moxley and AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. They were created as part of a new partnership with DC that has been dubbed a "Supervillain Weekend."
All Elite Wrestling's premiere episode of its show, Dynamite, airs this coming Wednesday, October 2, on TNT. The series will go head-to-head with WWE's NXT brand, which now airs on USA Network, in a new competition fans have dubbed the Wednesday Night Wars.
Ahead of AEW: Dynamite, the promotion's Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes shared an emotional open letter thanking fans worldwide as he prepared for what he calls the most significant night in wrestling during his lifetime.
