Inuyasha is a very imaginative anime where the world is full of magic, demons, and powerful monsters. With a total of 193 episodes, the show contains a ton of characters both major and minor. The show came to an end in 2010, but ten years later it is still well remembered by its fans.

Cosplaying these characters may not be as often done anymore, but some cosplayers have kept their old Inuyasha photos up online for everyone to enjoy. Some of these cosplays are even recently done! From half-demons, to demons, and humans, here are ten awesome Inuyasha cosplays.

10 Sesshomaru

Inuyasha's full-demon brother, Sesshomaru, is a fan favorite. While he is well-known by fans, he is a difficult character to cosplay. A lot is going on with his outfit, his face, and hair. Despite that, cosplayer MischAxel, did a wonderful job cosplaying him. The face markings are perfect, the fluff on his shoulder is on-point, and they even went as far into the details as to get claw-like fingernails.

Other characters MischAxel as cosplayed include Noctis from Final Fantasy, Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Geralt from The Witcher, and Leon from Resident Evil.

9 Sango

Demon slayer Sango was one of the main characters of the series. She is hard to miss, because her boomerang is huge! The cosplayer is Charrcole and they made the prop and outfit themselves. The photo was taken by Photography by Amie E and the wig was made by Arda Wigs.

This cosplayer has also done cosplay for shows like Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fruits Basket, and My Hero Academia.

8 Kagome

Kagome is the main character of Inuyasha and the audience surrogate. If you cosplay her, then you luckily don't have to dress as though you are from feudal Japan. Kagome time traveled back from modern Tokyo, so she wears a schoolgirl outfit for most of the story. So she can be an easier character to cosplay than others.

This Kagome cosplayer is GeniMonster. She has also cosplayed characters from other anime like Seven Deadly Sins, Spice and Wolf, and Rozen Maiden.

7 Kohaku And Sango

Here we have Sango again but this time she is in her demon-slaying outfit. Also, her younger brother Kohaku is in the picture. Kohaku is not quite a main character like Sango is but he is still a recurring. The cosplayer of Sango is jason-x3 and according to them, the cosplayer of Kohaku is Himawari. Together, they look like they are in a seen from a live-action Inuyasha movie.

Other anime characters jason-x3 has cosplayed include Homera from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Hinata from Naruto, and Blair from Soul Eater.

6 Ayame

Despite only appearing for a couple of episodes, Ayame the wolf princess is a popular Inuyasha character among the anime fans. She was Koga's fiance, and he forgot about her. By the end of the show though, she gets a happy ending. The cosplayer is  Foxy-Cosplay and she made the outfit, with some help, in about two days.

Other cosplays she has done include Hermione from Harry Potter, Mei from Overwatch, Tohru from Fruits Basket, Aqua from Kingdom Hearts, and much more.

5 Kikyo

Priestess Kikyo is a tragic character in Inuyasha. She actually dies in the first episode, but is later brought back to life by a demon witch. Kagome is her reincarnated self and they are in a love triangle with Inuyasha. At the end, Kikyo dies and her soul finally finds some peace.

The photographer is Chris Kwock Photography. The cosplayer is firecloak. The photo was taken at Anime Matsuri in Texas. Besides Kikyo, firecloak has also cosplayed Princess Peach from Mario, Judy from Zootopia, Nami from One Piece, and more.

4 Bankotsu And Jakotsu

Bankotsu and Jakotsu are member of the Band of Seven, a gang of mercenaries brought back to life by Naraku to stop Inuyasha and his friends. While these two are not recurring characters, they do stick around for a memorable arc. The Band of Seven were pretty popular among fans, despite their short time on the show.

The cosplayer for Jakotsu is LeeDMaggot and they actually put up a video of their transformation into Jakotsu. Bankotsu was cosplayed by Vietnam-based cosplayer, Lishrayder. Besides Bankotsu, they have also cosplayed characters from other anime like Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Hunter x Hunter.

3 Kagura

Kagura was a recurring and tragic villain of the series. She was tragic because almost everything she did was against her will. Naraku had control of her heart and could kill or hurt her whenever he wanted. She was also a wind sorceress and used fans to do wind-based attacks. Her end is rather sad, as Naraku does end up killing her.

According to the cosplayer, Kagura is either her third or second favorite character in the series. The cosplayer is VoxVulpina and she has also cosplayed characters from Star Wars, Naruto, and more. The photograph was taken by Damiano Coraci Photography.

2 Miroku

Miroku is in the main cast of hero characters. He is a perverted monk with a black hole in his hand, so all that is something you don't run into everyday. The black hole is a curse given to him by Naraku, and it will one day kill him unless Naraku is defeated.

The cosplay was done by Italy-based cosplayer Adriatan.  He has also cosplayed characters from Final Fantasy, Sailor Moon, and Love Live! The photo was taken by LaurelinAureo.

1 Naraku

Naraku is the main villain of the series. He killed Kikyo and tricked her into attacking Inuyasha. He cursed Miroku and kidnapped and mind controlled Sango's brother. He is as bad as bad guys go and has many forms throughout the series. This cosplayer, Akitozz6, did a great job getting down his more human-like form. The photo was edited to even look like they are holding the Sacred Jewel from the show. According to them, the cosplay was made with a kimono they back a long time ago and they added gold details.
