Pokémon has endured for 25 years since it premiered in 1995, so of course, numerous fans have created wonderful renditions of their favorite battle monsters through fan art. Fire Pokémon are one of the three starters trainers can choose from when beginning their Pokémon journey. From Generation VIII back, there are technically 75 different fire Pokémon, making them the seventh most common type. As a result, there is no shortage of fire pokemon to turn into art.

10 Realistic Pokemon Sketches

ReneCampbellArt's Deviant Art is filled with amazing realistic sketches of Pokémon. This selection features the final forms of the Fire starters from the first five generations of Pokémon. This includes Charizard, the final evolution of Charmeleon, a dragon. For Typhlosion, the final form of Cyndaquil, the artist went for a honey badger combined with a wolverine approach. Blaziken, the final form of Torchic, used Shamo Cockfighting Chicken, Secretary Bird, and the Cochin Chicken as inspiration. Finally, Emboar, the final evolution of Tepig, used elements from the Wild Boar and the prehistoric Daedon. The artist describes the thought process between each realistic creation in the description of her art, which is more than worthwhile to check out.

9 Team Rawst (Commission)

There's also a fitting for fire Pokémon landscape of an active volcano and lava appearing to be ready to bubble up to the surface from the very ground the team stands on. They better hope their opponent doesn't have any water, ground or rock types... or they'll need solar beam at the ready!

8 Shiny Arcanine | Fire Fang

ishmam has a series of pieces in a similar style to this on their DeviantArt page. This is one of two versions, with the other featuring a non-Shiny Arcanine. According to the artist, the piece took two hours to complete on a Bamboo Tablet and SAI. The image shows a shiny Arcanine using fire fang, a move introduced in Generation IV, which has a power of 65 and an accuracy rating of 95%. In addition, the move has a 10% chance of burning the target and a 10% chance of causing them to flinch, if this move lands before the opponent moves.

7 Fire Blast Fan Art

Quirkilicious on Deviant Art has created a series of pieces featuring the final evolutions of each starter type from Pokémon. This piece, titled "Fire Blast", is the first in the series and includes eight generations worth of Fire starters final forms.

Starting from the top we have the Delphox waving his flame on top of a cliff while the pure fire type Typlosion. The Charizard hovers over the rest of the fighting squad, which includes Blaziken about to kick Incineroar in the face. The Cinderace and Emboar, thanks to the subtle drawing of smiles, actually look like pals while Infernape gives a smug smile towards the viewer.

6 Ponyta

Created by lilnevie and posted on Deviant, this adorable little Ponyta is surrounded by wisps of flame. The flams on its head, tail, and ankles are blended so well and really look like they're flickering before your eyes. The big eyes and rosy red cheeks add to the innocent appeal of this cute piece of fan art. Ponyta is a fire horse from the first generation of Pokémon that can evolve into the elegant Rapidash. This flame horse also has a Galarian form introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, which is a psychic type.

5 Pokemon- Fire Canines

This lovely collage of Pokémon was created by H0lyhandgrenade on DeviantArt. It features pocket monsters that share two things: they're all fire types and they could all be classified as "canines".  Whether they're closer to dogs, foxes or wolves, these Pokémon all make you want to play fetch with them.

Our cute little ensemble here is impressive in that it crams a bunch of cuteness into three horizontal rows while managing to look like a cute cuddle pile rather than an over cramped mess. In the top row are Arcanine, the legendary Entai, Delphox, and Ninetails. The second row includes second forms Braixen, Houndoom and Flareon. Finally, front and center are Houndor, Vulpix, Fennekin, and Growlithe.

4 Team Valor Leader Candela

Pokémon Go! (2016) inspired fan piece, this creation is by OXMiruku on DevianArt. The piece features leader Candela, one of the three leaders from Pokémon Go! that players can choose to join up with. Candela leads Team Valor, who is all about researching the strength of Pokémon. Their team is represented by Moltres, the legendary firebird, who is also in the piece behind Candela. The artwork also features the fire types Arcanine and Flareon. All three Pokémon have pure red eyes and no pupils, a detail that is added to Candela.

3 Fire Witches

This piece by TsaoShin on DeviantArt is in celebration of Halloween! The artist mixes the Fennekin evolution chain with the witch/mage themes of the Pokémon. You may only see three Pokémon at first glance, but there are actually six!

We have a pouty Braixen on the back of the room holding a Pumpkaboo. Delphox taking the lead while riding in the middle with a Zubat holding her cloak together (how comfortable is that?). Finally, there is Fennekin sitting upfront with a Litwick lighting their way!

2 Mega Blaziken

Agitype01 on DeviantArt has created a Blaziken that means business! This Blaziken, with a blue gleam in its eyes, is in its mega evolution form. In this new form, Blaziken's hair turns up in a V pattern and the flames from its wrists fan out much further. There is also now black fur in its legs. The artist got all these little details down. Once in mega evolution form, Mega Blaziken has the Speed Boost Ability, allowing its speed stat to go up one level each turn it's in battle. It can max out six levels above its usual speed, making this mega extremely hard to hit!

1 Litten Hot Lava Supreme

This beautiful piece is part of a Pokemon Cocktail Prints series by Naschi on DeviantArt. The picture above features Litten, the fire starter in Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon (2016). Because it's a fire Pokémon, the artist was inspired to put Litten in a Lava based cocktail. The piece was created with an  Iwata Airbrush. Litten really looks like he's just chillin' in a filled glass with cracks of lava and sprigs of fire flowers thrown into the mix. The little details, like the water droplets outside of the glass, give it such a fun, almost three-dimensional feel.
