The Avengers have had such a diverse roster over their many years of existence. In fact, there's been so many iterations of the group that it's difficult to actually track all their members. Usually in each team there's always someone that everyone else hates though.

This could be for a variety of reasons. It could be because of decisions they made in the past, or perhaps the way they are acting as part of a team. There may be no explicit reason or it could just be a trust factor. No matter what the reason is there's always someone the rest of the team comes into conflict with. Here are 10 Avengers that are universally hated by their teammates.

10 ANT-MAN

Marvel Comics' Hank Pym having a breakdown as Yellowjacket in front of the Avengers

Hank Pym has such a complicated history that he has become pretty hated by the rest of his teammates. He is arrogant and always needs to be the smartest guy in the room; this often costs him his friends. But his personal decisions are worse.

Creating Ultron and becoming obsessed with his robotics was bad enough, but abusing his wife is what garnered the most hatred. Upon her death he then started to dress as the Wasp to honor her, which was certainly an odd decision to make. The fact is, Hank Pym is a broken man who won't seek help and will push away those who do try. He has become loathed by many.

9 SENTRY

Marvel's Sentry stands firm while a cloud of dust billows around him.

The Sentry is another incredibly unstable member of the team. His relationship with the Avengers is a difficult one as he originally supported the main team before joining the Dark Avengers. This was due to being tricked by Norman Osborn.

He was hated by this team especially because of his naivety. What's more, he had a dark secret he tried to hide. He had an arch nemesis known as the Void which he fought constantly. The problem was the the Void was actually part of him. He eventually lost all control, killing Ares and fighting the rest of the Avengers. Needless to say, he was hated by everyone after this.

8 QUICKSILVER

Quicksilver has an unrivaled arrogance that everyone hates. His mutant background is one that they admire, due to the adversary he has had to face. Yet his turn to the Brotherhood of Mutants was one none of them could respect, as it's essentially a terrorist group.

His father being Magneto also makes them uneasy but the way he treats people is the worst part about one of the fastest men on Earth. He is by all means, a horrible person to talk to. He is insulting, impatient and constantly losing focus. He's a really bad teammate especially if they are all living together.

7 SCARLET WITCH

The Scarlet Witch is just as unpredictable as her brother. The problem is she has far more power and can often go off the rails a little bit. She started out a villain before becoming respected by her peers. However, it was her final actions that created a lot of hatred.

As Wanda lost control she caused a lot of misery and chaos. She killed some famous members of the team and even created a world without any more mutants. The team eventually fought against her and won and she's returned since but her instability is always a factor to consider.

6 IRON MAN

The fact is, Tony Stark is well-liked only at the best of times. Whether it's his stance on superhuman registration or perhaps the way in which he leads a team, Stark has a lot of haters. It likely all goes back to his days as a weapons seller, with his business arrogance never leaving him.

The problem is that he's a pretty major part of every team, but usually a lot of the members actually hate him. In his older age he's starting to take on more of a mentor role, but during his prime it's fair to say that many of his decisions were questionable at best.

5 RAGE

Rage in his classic costume

Rage is actually a pretty powerful but largely unknown member of the Avengers and holds the distinction of being one of the youngest ever. He initially joined the team simply because he pointed out that there was not enough African Americans in the group.

The truth is that the superhero was actually only 13 but looked older because of his powers. Not only this, he also was pretty reckless and actually stole a Quinjet at one point. The obnoxious teen was eventually thrown off of the team because everyone hated him so much and because he was underage.

4 STARFOX

Never Should Have Been Avengers Starfox

Starfox is one of the most unfortunately written characters of Marvel comics because he is barely a hero at all. The mans powers mean that he can influence the emotions of people, usually targeting women to make them become attracted to him.

His name is actually Eros, which is the Greek version of Cupid, which may explain some of his abilities. He has become a bit of a predator in the team and was eventually found out for this and removed from the group. He's a horrible piece of work that became completely hated by his teammates.

3 NAMOR

Namor is the King of Atlantis which means there's a certain amount of respect he feels he should receive. He is very protective of his people but this can sometimes be at the detriment to his teammates. He looks down on humanity giving himself a superiority complex.

Perhaps what people hate about him most though is that he is very untrustworthy. He has changed his mind many times and has actually been a villain that the Avengers have fought against. Therefore everyone likes to keep their eye on Namor when he's around.

2 SPIDER-WOMAN

Spider-Woman is another hero that the Avengers has trust issues with. She has been a spy, a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. and S.W.O.R.D. a double agent and a member of the Avengers over the years and is known for manipulating people and tricking them.

What's worse, when she was replaced by a Skrull many people associated the real Jessica Drew with the behavior of her impostor and so continued to hate her. It's difficult for her to rectify all of this and for a time Spider-Woman was universally hated by her peers.

1 D-MAN

7 D-Man Avengers

D-Man is an unusual and barely recognizable member of the Avengers, in part because of how useless he is. The D stands for demolition although the suit is more of a mock of Daredevil and Wolverine rather than something original.

Because he makes a joke of the career essentially and has even ripped off one of their friends, D-Man isn't well liked. In fact he's often made a mockery of, with most of the members of the Avengers hating him. It's clear to see why he isn't very well known.
