The Marvel Cinematic Universe has reached the tail end of its reconstruction period and is finally prepared to dive into The Multiverse Saga and the many threats that could come of it. But by the end of Phase Six, Avengers: Secret Wars could change things in the MCU forever. But beyond that, there's a larger question of what could come next. However, with so many characters, the options could be endless.

One option would be the most logical evolution for a team like the Avengers, especially after the events of Secret Wars. With a potentially massive number of heroes and villains attached to the upcoming film, the landscape of the universe after the end of Phase Six could be different from anything that came before. As a result, a different direction in saving lives would have to be implemented. Rather than be reactive, the Avengers would have to be proactive by opening up a school of young heroes.

What Is the Avengers Academy?

Avengers Academy's original Marvel comics roster

In the comics, the Avengers Academy was designed to train teens who could potentially go rogue to be heroes. This would both bottleneck the chance of them becoming evil and also offer a chance for these kids to grow into someone that matches their true potential. The comics series saw Hank Pym helping train these new heroes and show them the ropes as the resident founding Avenger. But even still, not much could protect them from how dangerous the world could be.

Thankfully, the MCU has many other heroes that could fill the shoes of Pym and show a new generation of heroes what would be needed to protect the world from danger in any form. Better yet, with many official Avengers still active, they could teach classes on their own time or even spearhead missions to acclimate the new heroes to patrols and threats. Essentially, an academy could broaden the horizons of the characters and the franchise.

The Avengers Academy Will Be the Next Evolution of the Avengers

The Avengers, at this point, would've had six films to help form, reform and find their footing. In the past, they only existed as a response team to threats no single person could handle, But it's become clear that even when there weren't looming dangers, the world would still need them. But having an academy wouldn't mean the end of the Avengers. In fact, it would just be the next logical step for the team.

As young heroes are already starting to appear, there will need to be mentors like Bruce Banner and Clint Barton to guide them in the ways of protecting innocents and themselves. Plus, with so many having powers, it would be great to have people that could help them wrestle with the emotional impact of these abilities. Whether as a show or a movie, the Avengers Academy would be a great way for young heroes to better integrate into the MCU without established team members having to retire until the next big threat.
