Marvel Teases Hulk 'SMASH' in Avengers: No Surrender

The Incredible Hulk has a few words for Marvel fans eagerly anticipating the Avengers: No Surrender event – well, it’s more like one word… and it’s maybe not that surprising given the source. The tease came from the Twitter account of Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso, who posted a single image of the Hulk’s unmistakable green maw.

The Avengers: No Surrender event will unfold over the course of three months and is slated to start January of next year. This isn’t the first time Hulk has been connected to the story in a major way. A leak back in September revealed art that put a statue of the Hulk alongside those of the founding Avengers and a new character, Voyager.

Avengers: No Surrender will combine the rosters of Avengers, U.S. Avengers and Uncanny Avengers. Recently released art has also revealed that the Lethal Legion will be making a comeback when they go up against one of the worst crews in the universe – Thanos’ Black Order. The event will revolve around heroes from all corners of the Marvel universe coming together to figure out how and why the Earth was stolen.

Avengers: No Surrender debuts in January with Avengers #675 and is written by Mark Waid, Al Ewing and Jim Zub, with art by Pepe Larraz.
