The android synthezoid known as the Vision was created by the villainous Ultron in order to infiltrate and destroy the Avengers, which meant he was designed to be incredibly powerful with a number of unique abilities all powered by his advanced digital brain.

Vision has used his various abilities in a number of unique ways over the years that have shown no limits to the imagination of the android Avenger, so today we are going to take a closer look at a few of the more creative ways Vision has used his abilities.

10 PHASED HAND

Vision is able to control his own molecular density, which enables him to fly and phase-shift, among other powerful abilities that have led to his favorite, and most effective attack in battle that is an almost instant one-shot.

Vision's go-to move requires him to phase his hand or fist through an enemy, and then either threaten to solidify it to force them to submit or actually begin to solidify his arm inside his enemy, resulting in a painful shock to the system that few can withstand.

9 SIMULATED HUMANITY

Since his creation, the Vision has aspired to become more human, and he has used a number of his synthezoid body's abilities to simulate a human form that allows him to live secretly as a human named Victor Shade.

He used a holographic image inducer to simulate his human form, and can even replicate other acts like eating to make others around him more comfortable, as he has a thoracic furnace in his chest to convert the food into energy, though it's less efficient than his solar absorption abilities.

8 ORBITAL DROP

One of the most creative and effective uses of Vision's abilities came during a battle with Count Nefaria, who had amped up his own ionic abilities immensely after absorbing the abilities of other Avengers villains.

Vision altered his density so he would float as high as he could while remaining within the pull of Earth's gravity before he shifted his density again to become as hard as a diamond, causing him to plummet through the atmosphere like a meteor into Count Nefaria, knocking out the villain while Vision remained unharmed.

7 KNOCKED OUT AN ARMY OF HULKS

After the small town of Kalkhimithia in Greece was exposed to a cloud of mysterious green dust, it transformed the citizens into rage-filled Hulks that began to tear apart the town and spread into the surrounding countryside.

The Vision has been able to temporarily hold his own against the Hulk when in his diamond-hard form, so he drew in a number of the transformed Hulks to him and the turned intangible, which disrupted and knocked out an entire group of Hulks at once.

6 SELF-DESTRUCTED

After the Vision was destroyed by She-Hulk during Avengers: Dissasembled, he was brought back alongside other dead teammates during the Chaos War event in order to protect still-living Avengers from the Grim Reaper.

While Vision's team of formerly dead Avengers struggled to defeat Grim Reaper and his forces to protect the other resurrected dead, the Vision decided that he had achieved his goal of being human by dying once already, so he initiated his self-destruct and took out Grim Reaper to save his friends.

5 POSSESSED HUMANS

After Vision was dismantled by the government, he was rebuilt by Hank Pym to the best of his ability, though Vision's personality and emotional processes were lost when Wonder Man refused to allow his brain patterns to be replicated in the Vision again.

Vision sought outside help with Dr. Miles Lipton to find his purpose, he was given new brain patterns and discovered when attacked that he was able to possess a human body by solidifying key parts of his phased body in a human so he could take control of their body.

4 TOOK OVER EARTH'S COMPUTER SYSTEMS

Vision has been damaged and rebuilt quite a few times over the years, and after an upgrade from the Titan supercomputer known as I.S.A.A.C. further destabilized earlier damage to his control center, Vision focused on a new goal.

He merged his consciousness with all of the computer systems on Earth, effectively taking over the modern world so he could ensure a peaceful and ordered existence. A part of him fought back and repaired the damage with the Avengers' help, though the Vision was dismantled in retaliation.

3 FUSED HANK PYM AND ULTRON

After Ultron returned to Earth from his attempt at conquering the galaxy with enhanced abilities and a new drive to take down the Avengers and his creator Hank Pym by infecting humanity with Ultron spores.

Vision attempted to deal with the threat of his creator by phasing into his body and merging with him so he could take control and end the infection, though Ultron managed to take control of the merge and force Hank Pym into the fusion instead of Vision, creating Ultron Pym.

2 CREATED A FAMILY

Vision wanted to take the next step in his quest to become more human and decided to create his own synthezoid family beginning with his wife Virginia, whose brain waves he mixed with his own to create twin children, Vin and Viv.

Unfortunately, Vin would be accidentally killed by his "uncle" Victor Mancha, who was then killed by Virginia before she committed suicide, leaving Vision alone with his daughter Viv, who would later go on to join the Champions.

1 IMAGINED AN ARMY OF HEROES

When the Avengers encountered Nyx, Queen of Night, and her plans to rewrite the universe in her dark image, their battle led them to an odd house in Long Island that represented the focal point of all creation in the universe.

This "House of Ideas" gave Vision ultimate control over the creation and the power to create an army of Marvel heroes using his stored files to stop Nyx in a dramatic battle that explored the history of the Marvel Universe in order to save it.
