The Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken the heroes of the comics and made them into stars. It did this by putting out some pretty solid movies that built up to the ultimate Marvel team, the Avengers. The Avengers have proven to be all they were cracked up to be, saving not only the Earth but the entire universe more than once. Being an Avenger is a massive deal for the heroes of the MCU.

There are a lot of definite perks to being a member of the Avengers. The team and its members have a lot going for them, making everyone who isn't a member jealous.

8 They're Almost Guaranteed To Survive

Avengers In Endgame

The Avengers in the MCU have a very low body count. Quicksilver and Iron Man are the only actual deaths who count, since they've stayed dead. Black Widow killed herself, so it doesn't entirely count. Otherwise, being a member of a team with some of the most overpowered heroes in the universe has its perks; one of them is survivability.

Even the heroes who died from the Snap were winning their fights up until the Snap, which was basically an act of God that was pretty much impossible to stop. Being an Avenger is the best way to survive being a superhero.

7 They Have Great Parties

Avengers: Age Of Ultron has its problems but one of the most fun parts of the movie was the party scene in the beginning. It was just the Avengers, hanging out with the beautiful people of New York City, having a good time. Imagine being a young hero and going to a party like that. That's a huge thing.

Being an Avenger isn't just about fighting for the survival of the world. It's getting to go to the big parties, being around people who are famous but are there to meet an Avenger. It's being invited to the White House, hobnobbing with those in power, and soaking up their awe.

6 The Avengers Are The Greatest Heroes & One Gets To Hang Out With Them

Peter Parker is the perfect example of why being an Avenger is amazing. He grew up idolizing Iron Man and then hung out with him. Superheroes suffer from hero worship as much as anyone else, and Peter Parker got to indulge that instinct by being an Avenger. He was allowed to be around his heroes and was treated as an equal.

Imagine getting to hang out with Captain America, one of the most respected heroes ever. Avengers get to rub shoulders with their heroes, men and women like Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, and so many more. Heroes are people and getting to be with the people they idolized and whose examples they followed, is amazing.

5 Getting To Learn From The Best Heroes

Beyond the hero-worship inherent to being around heroes like Black Panther and Captain Marvel, the Avengers is a team full of great role models. There are no courses in superheroics. It isn't something you can study in college. The closest thing is the military but even then, young metahumans don't really learn how to use their powers.

Being an Avenger means learning from the best heroes. The Avengers don't have any slouches. Every member is at the peak of their abilities and the things they can teach a new member is amazing.

4 Having Access To The Best Technology Makes Being A Hero Easier

Tony Stark and the Mind Stone from Avengers Age of Ultron

The Avengers and StarkTech are synonymous with each other. Stark kitted out the team with the best tech that his company had to offer, making their lives so much easier. The technology the Avengers have access to is flabbergasting. It's bleeding-edge tech that someone who wasn't a member of the team would not have. It's doubtful that even SHIELD has the kind of technology that Stark gave the team.

Being a superhero isn't easy and technology can make it a lot easier. Having access to the best computers can make it easier to solve crimes and get the info one needs. On top of things like that, the medical technology the Avengers have access to makes it worth being a member alone. Being a superhero is dangerous and having access to bleeding-edge medical tech would make things so much easier.

3 Being Around People Who Understand How Hard The Superhero Life Is Would Make Life Easier

MCU Avengers

Being a superhero isn't really something one can talk about with outsiders. Sure, Winter Soldier can go to a psychiatrist to talk about his PTSD, but his life is more easily dealt with because he was a soldier. A brainwashed soldier with a robot arm but still a soldier. Iron Man's PTSD from the attempted Chitauri invasion is completely different. Who else could understand the hopelessness of realizing that the universe is full of hostile forces that would devour the Earth given the chance?

Only other superheroes can really understand what a superhero goes through. The Avengers is full of likable heroes who are always there to help each other. They understand because they've been there and can lend an ear.

2 They Have Awesome Headquarters To Live In

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier established that the Avengers in the MCU didn't pay the members, a stark difference from the comics where members of the Avengers get a stipend. They did seemingly get a place to live, though. Avengers Tower was the group's first home and while fans never saw any of the member's quarters, where else would they live? Even Hawkeye's house with his family didn't seem to be a place where he actually lived full-time.

The Avengers Compound did contain living quarters that fans did see, and they looked pretty great. While members didn't get paid, they had all of their needs taken care of at the team's headquarters, making their lives easier.

1 The Respect It Nets A Hero

Avengers-MCU

The Avengers are the most respected heroes in the MCU and the best way to illustrate this is by looking at Ant-Man. Ant-Man in the MCU wasn't exactly a well-known hero and even if he introduced himself to others, they wouldn't really care about him. He was second string because the Avengers existed. Spider-Man was basically an urban legend until he joined up with the Avengers as a probationary member.

The Avengers are at the top of the hero world in the MCU. Joining the team means a hero is going to be recognized and respected, fighting alongside the legends of the heroic world.
