The members of The Avengers have some truly marvel-ous costumes. Pun intended. The folks behind Marvel Comics should really be commended for their work. They've crafted some of the most astonishing characters designs in comic book history. Which as a result has inspired passionate Marvel fans to craft their own own costumes and share their creations on social media.

So without further ado, here are 10 Avengers cosplays that look like their Marvel Comics counterparts. Out of thousands of amazing Marvel cospalys, these 10 cosplayers are the cream of the crop and should be recognized for their hard work, patience, passion and creativity.

10 Evilyn13 as The Wasp (Janet Pym)

Since 2015's Ant-Man, the character of Janet Pym has been largely overshadowed by her daughter, Hope Pym. The character has garnered some attention from her appearance in the animated The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest series and Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal in Ant and The WaspEvilyn13 has done a wondrous job embodying the original Wasp.

Her cosplay is almost identical to Janet's outfit seen on the cover of The Avengers#71. With the exception of the high heels, the skin-tight black and yellow is a reflection of Janet's outfit. Plus it's hard not to mention how great the wings look too!

9 odfel as Scarlet Witch

After numerous appearances in animation and video games, Marvel fans will finally see Elizabeth Olsen don Scarlet Witch's distinct red outfit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Albeit from what's been shown so far, it'll be more used for temporary comedic effect. Before then check this out spellbinding cosplay by odfel.

If Fox ever had plans of incorporating Scarlet Witch into their X-Men universe, they would've probably cast odfel in the role. She looks like the exact mirror image of Scarlet Witch from the comics. This skilled cosplayer absolutely nailed Wanda's quintessential headpiece and it looks even more striking when paired with the entire outfit. In all of it's majestic red, or rather scarlet, beauty.

8 doc. Deranged as Doctor Strange

Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of the Master of the Mystic Arts garnered massive approval from fans. His costume design received equal praise. Sure the MCU design is outstanding, but it's always nice to pay respects to the classic. doc.deranged managed to merge elements from the classic costume with the newly revised MCU design seamlessly.

He's donning the original light blue robe with white stripes adorned and the yellow sash wrapped around his waist. Just like from the comics. If you look closely he's actually wearing the Eye of Agamotto from the MCU films. A subtle but nice way to mix the old with the new!

7 Nathan Cox as The Incredible Hulk

Hulk Smash! Hulk....pose? Oh yeah.

Bodybuilder and literal big Hulk fan Nathan Cox puts his massive frame to great use! Honestly, the Hulk is the perfect cosplay for any bodybuilders who are also avid comic book fans. If Nathan was born a few decades earlier, he would've been an excellent candidate to play the Hulk in the '80s The Incredible Hulk series.

Nathan's Hulk fandom doesn't stop there. He also cosplayed in Hulk's gladiator armor from the popular Thor Ragnarok, which was inspired by the amazing Planet Hulk comic book series.

6 Saiyan Queen as She-Hulk

When you need someone to protect you from criminals, you call She-Hulk. When you need someone to defend you in a court of law you....also call She-Hulk. Bruce Banner's cousin will finally debut in the MCU in her own Disney+ series. So to coincide with this exciting announcement, strongwoman and cosplayer Saiyan Queen dressed up as the green-skinned heroine. But as her civilian persona, Jennifer Walters.

While Saiyan Queen has cosplayed as She-Hulk in her hero attire, this cosplay, in particular, deserves special attention. Because just from looking at this cosplay, it reminds fans that She-Hulk does have a life outside of superheroism. Furthermore, it looks strikingly similar like from the comics. Just press the right arrow on the image and see for yourself.

5 Blerd Vision as Falcon/Captain America

Look! Up in the air. Is it the Falcon? Captain America? No...it's Captain America/Falcon! Sam Wilson took on the mantle of Captain America in the comics. Talk about a promotion. With that said promotion Sam donned a new costume befitting for the new Captain America. Just like with doc.derange's Doctor Strange cosplay, avid fan and indie filmmaker Blerd Vision merges elements from the comics and MCU films together in this marvellous cosplay.

One noticeable elements he added are Falcon's wings and backpack from the films, all the while still retaining the signature Captain America color scheme from the comics.

4 Trevor as Hawkeye

Jeremy Renner is that you? Or is it your stunt double? No, it's a cosplayer who's a really big fan of Clint Barton. Dedicated Hawkeye fan Trevor has crafted an incredible cosplay that greatly honours this underrated member of the Avengers. What he's created is some high-quality stuff. It looks like it was made from Marvel Studio's costume department.

The color scheme on the costume is stunning. It retains the purple and black palette associated with the character and darkens them to fit with contemporary times. You can find Trevor on Instagram via his appropriately titled IG tag: hawkeye.cosplay.

3 MaaikeFx as Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers)

Before Kamala Khan came onto the scene, Carol Danvers was Ms Marvel. In the comics, Carol Danvers fought crime under the moniker of Ms Marvel. Unfortunately, the original Captain Marvel died. To honour his memory Carol Danvers renamed herself as the new Captain Marvel. It's highly unlikely Brie Larson will be donning Danver's original costume anytime soon. Luckily there's this brilliant cosplay by the skilled MaaikeFx

She has faithfully replicated Danvers original black suit emblazoned with that awesome yellow lighting bolt. Not to mention that post just evokes pure power. The accompanying quote "I've been fighting with one arm tied behind my back, but what happens when I'm finally set free" just made this shot even more epic.

2 Connor as Ant-Man (Hank Pym)

Imagine if Paul Rudd or Michael Douglas wore this in the MCU? But in all honesty, this is a magnificent attempt by first-time cosplayer Connor. Everything about this cosplay is just right. The bright red and blue harkens back to the campy comics prevalent during the Silver Age. Of course, if there's one thing that deserves particular mention it's the helmet.

That oversized helmet is undoubtedly the most memorable part of Ant-Man's original costume, and Connor nailed it perfectly! Not bad for a first-time cosplayer.

1 Tsu Keehl as Black Widow

With Black Widow finally getting her own feature film it's only fitting to place her on this list's number one spot. The superspy has always been known for being clad in a black leather outfit. Befitting for her name and it's effective for stealth scenarios as well. Her costume has remained largely faithful to the comics since the character made her live-action debut, besides two notable exclusions. The yellow arm braces and belt.

Tsu Keeehl has ensured these costume accessories will not be lost to time. She looks very convincing as Natasha Romanoff, especially in that awesome pose with that fierce expression drawn across her face!
