Avengers: Infinity War Appears to Have Wrapped Filming

Either co-director Joe Russo is having a rest on the film lot, or Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War has wrapped principal photography right on schedule.

The Russo brothers posted a photo this morning on their Instagram account showing Joe Russo lying on the pavement, and Anthony Russo standing over him. The accompanying caption reads "One down," presumably a joking reference to the first of two Avengers films in production. The untitled sequel is set to begin production next month at the same location, Pinewood Atlanta Studios.

Today's date, July 14, corresponds with earlier reports of the planned completion of filming of Infinity War. The sweeping ensemble filmed in Atlanta, Edinburgh, Scotland, and New York City.

The film arrives in theaters May 4, 2018, with the untitled sequel opening May 3, 2019.
