Marvel Studios released the highly-anticipated trailer for Avengers: Infinity War yesterday, and as you might have expected, it broke the record for the most trailer views in a single day.

The teaser amassed a colossal 230 million views in its first 24 hours, beating out trailers for IT and The Fate of the Furious, which raked in 197 million views and 139 million views respectively. It's no surprise that the first glimpse of Infinity War was so popular - it posed a huge amount of questions and teased some exciting developments for a number of Marvel's biggest characters.

From a new Spider-Man suit to Captain America's beard to the arrival of Thanos (finally!), Avengers: Infinity War feels like a departure from Earth's Mightiest Heroes' first two movies. This film has long been described as the beginning of the end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as fans know it, and the trailer did an admirable job of backing that claim up.
