“Avengers: Infinity War” to Film Parts 1 & 2 Back-to-Back

“Captain America” star Chris Evans revealed that both parts of “Avengers: Infinity War” will shoot back-to-back over a nine month period.

In an interview with Esquire (via Collider), Evans discussed his upcoming work schedule, stating, “That’s going to be like nine months to shoot both movies back to back,” Evans said of the upcoming film. Evans further cited fall or winter 2016 as a possible start date for filming the mega-sequels. The actor has just begun filming for “Captain America: Civil War,” which will open in May next year.

Last October, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced the two-part film at a press conference, where the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Three schedule was also revealed. “Avengers: Infinity War,” which will likely bring together all existing Avengers, will follow films like “Black Panther,” “Captain Marvel” and “Doctor Strange.”

“Avengers: Infinity War” is scheduled for release in May 2018 and May 2019.
