The tease about the three characters' imminent adventure accompanied a new look at them on one of a series of 15 EW covers featuring 22 of the film's heroes. On their cover, the intergalactic trio is front and center, hinting at the connection they will share in the movie.

The depth of their camaraderie will likely go beyond simply bonding while traveling together across the galaxy. It's long been teased that the adolescent Groot will find a new mentor in the anticipated ensemble film, and recent revelations indicate the sentient tree may very well sacrifice a part of himself to forge Thor's post-Mjolnir weapon.
