The final chapters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Infinity Saga featured some of the most difficult choices ever made by the characters. One of the hardest choices was made by the saga's main antagonist, Thanos, who sacrificed the one person he loved the most -- Gamora -- to obtain the Soul Stone. However, he was able to speak with a younger version of herself again when he snapped his fingers, erasing half of existence.

Immediately following the snap, Thanos had an out of body experience that transported him to a realm bathed in orange. Within it was Gamora, who asked him what it cost to fulfill his plan. Since that scene, fans speculated where the conversation took place and what it was called, with many believing it was inside the Soul Stone. That question wouldn't be answered in any of the films, but it was instead answered in a deleted scene in Avengers: Endgame.

In the film, during the final moments of the battle against Thanos and his army, Tony Stark took the nano gauntlet and used it to snap his fingers and eliminate Thanos and his armada. Sadly, this culminated in Tony's death, but at least he was surrounded by the people he cared about in his final moments. However, the deleted scene that named the unfamiliar place Thanos went to also featured some closure for Stark.

In the scene "Tony at the Way Station," it's revealed through the title and its directors' commentary what the name of the location that Tony and Thanos were taken to is. The Russo Brothers explained that the act of the snap took Tony to the Way Station so that he may reconcile with something that was unresolved. In his case that meant being reconnected with an older version of his daughter, played by Katherine Langford, and this helped put his soul to rest.

The Russo Brothers were also able to confirm where the Way Station was located. During a visit to Iowa City, the Russos talked with some fans over the film's opening weekend and answered their burning questions. One of the questions was if the Way Station was inside of the Soul Stone. The Russos were able to confirm that this was accurate and went on to explain that this was why the area was bathed in an orange hue.

While the location preceded unfortunate events for half of all life and for Tony, it served as a moment of peace before what was to come. The Way Station may not be seen again in the MCU, but it will forever be in its fans' memories, and thanks to the Russo Brothers, fans finally got an answer to what the Way Station was called and where it was located.
