Avengers: Infinity War Heading to Netflix Just in Time for Christmas

The most successful film of the year, Avengers: Infinity War has earned over $2 billion at the worldwide box office to become the biggest superhero movie of all time.

While the MCU blockbuster has been available on home video since the end of July, it will be available to stream on Netflix exactly on time for Christmas. The official Netflix Twitter account has confirmed the film will be available to stream on December 25.

The inclusion of Avengers: Infinity War is part of a pre-existing deal with Disney to release their films on the premium streaming service before the studio finalized plans of a streaming service of their own with next year's Disney+.

As such, Ant-Man and the Wasp is expected to be the final MCU film slated for release on Netflix sometime in early 2019 with Captain Marvel being the first MCU film to be released exclusively on Disney+. After Netflix's streaming licenses with Disney expire, the films and television shows are expected to become exclusive to Disney's upcoming premium streaming service.
