Avengers: Infinity War Toy Seemingly Confirms Mystery Villain's Identity

Avengers Infinity War

The case of the mystery villain in Avengers: Infinity War may have already been solved.

Merchandising art surfaced on Monday depicting Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet and Black Order members Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight. Below them was an unknown brawny, and distinctly alien, figure, who instantly became the subject of widespread online speculation: Was he another member of the Black Order? One of Thanos' Chitauri allies from 2012's The Avengers? Alas, the correct answer appears to be far less exciting than those theories.

Promotional art for one of the Funko Pop! figures for Infinity War appears to reveal he's actually the leader of the Outriders As the movie will likely explain, the Outriders are genetically engineered creatures employed by Thanos as his invading army. These are the alien troops that are seen fighting in Wakanda in the film's trailers.
