Undoubtedly of the most-anticipated films of 2018, “Avengers: Infinity War” has already captured the attention of fans with a first-look video, and a trickle of news and behind-the-scenes photos from its sprawling cast and crew. Since kicking off principal photography in February in Atlanta, some of the stars -- including Karen Gillan, Scarlett Johansson and Paul Bettany -- have moved on to Scotland, and now Jeremy Renner is en route to meet them.
The actor, who to date has appeared as Hawkeye in four Marvel Cinematic Universe films -- "Thor," "The Avengers," "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Civil War" -- tweeted a photo of himself on an airplane, accompanied by the caption, “It’s time. #team #avengers #marvel #hawkeye." Renner is fairly obviously on his way to Scotland to join his colleagues, despite not mentioning his destination.

Renner's Hawekey is one of the only original Avengers who hasn’t starred in his own solo movie, although he is rumored to appear in “Ant-Man and the Wasp.”
Opening May 4, 2018, “Avengers: Infinity War” is the culmination of a story that began with 2008’s “Iron Man.” In the style of a comic book crossover, it will pit the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe against Thanos, the Mad Titan, who is attempting to collect the six Infinity Stones, and to then wield the Infinity Gauntlet.
Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, “Avengers: Infinity War” stars an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Jeremy Renner, Benedict Cumberbatch, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin, Karen Gillan, Zoe Saldana, Tom Holland and Pom Klementieff.
