As Avengers fans continue to speculate about Hawkeye's absence from Infinity War's marketing, the fan-favorite archer takes center stage in a poster the Russo brothers shared on their official Facebook page.
The director duo, who also worked on such films as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, shared the stylish Avengers: Infinity War poster early Monday morning. The poster was created by artist BossLogic, who regularly goes viral for his unique alternate takes on superhero posters, designs and more. You may know him from his "The Last Schwarma" piece.
This edited poster finds Clint Barton taking the place of every hero from the official Avengers: Infinity War poster. In the center, Hawkeye even sports the sleek haircut Jeremy Renner debuted during filming.
While the poster is clearly meant as a joke, that hasn't stopped fans from filing into the Russos' comments with their theories and guesses about the upcoming film. Eagle-eyed fans also spotted Ant-Man hiding in the poster, clinging to the arrow tip of the Hawkeye standing just below Thanos.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin, among others. The film opens April 27.
