Avengers: Infinity War has been a success since it opened earlier this year, earning over $257 million domestically on its opening weekend and going on to break many domestic and international records. The massive success for Disney and Marvel has now finished its record-breaking run at the domestic box-office and become the fourth highest-grossing film domestically in the process.

Infinity War ended its run having earned slightly over $678 million domestically for a total of $2.046 billion worldwide. The top three highest-grossing films domestically are Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936 million), Avatar ($760 million) and Black Panther ($700 million), according to Box Office Mojo.

These earnings and rankings do not account for inflation.

The follow-up to Infinity WarAvengers 4, will release on May 3, 2019. That movie will also likely do extremely well at the box office, though whether it will surpass its predecessor remains to be seen. Following Avengers 4, the box-office juggernaut that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue with Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The film is out now on digital HD and Blu-Ray.
