Theories that the Mad Titan will be assisted by the Black Order -- a team of aliens who in Marvel comics who backed Thanos in his cosmic crusade -- were bolstered in April by photos and video from the film's Edinburgh, Scotland, set that showed actors in motion-capture suits believed to be portraying Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight. Those were followed by speculation that the inclusion of Wakanda in Infinity War could open the door to the introduction of Black Order member Black Dwarf, who invaded the African nation in the comics.

However, there were still no signs of perhaps the most dangerous member of the Black Order, Ebony Maw. That is, until now.

Just Jared has released photos taken Wednesday on the Atlanta set of Infinity War that depict Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange lying flat on his back, being menaced by an actor in a motion-capture suit. Although the images aren't particularly enlightening at first glance, closer inspection of the actor's right shoulder reveals a patch that reads “EB MAW," which would seem to indicate Ebony Maw.

Introduced in 2013 in New Avengers #8, Maw is a master of manipulation and seduction who can infect the mind of his foes, learning their secrets and compelling them to do his bidding. He has a bit of history with Stephen Strange, as in the comics Maw was sent to pry from the Sorcerer Supreme the secrets of the Illuminati and the location of Thanos' son Thane.
