Today marks 100 days until the release of Avengers: Infinity War, and Marvel Studios is kicking off the countdown with a promo featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes charging into action.
The post from the official Avengers Twitter account reads, "100 days. #Avengers #InfinityWar," with the video graphic displaying a scene from the film's first trailer in which Steve Rogers leads the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Okoye, Hulk, Black Panther and an army of Wakandan soldiers into battle against what is presumably Thanos' invading forces. The video is a brief 12 seconds long, but does include Infinity War's musical theme, before concluding with the film's logo.
It's unlikely that Marvel will release a daily teaser as we count down from 100, but the studio may see fit to post one for milestone days like 50 and 25, until we get closer to single digits. Who knows, one of the countdown days could opt for an all-new trailer to really excite fans.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as the Falcon, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Josh Brolin as Thanos. The film opens May 28.
