WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Heroes Reborn #1 by Jason Aaron, Ed McGuinness, Mark Morales, Matthew Wilson and VC's Cory Petit, on sale now.

The latest entry into the Heroes Reborn saga has finally arrived, and it couldn't possibly be more thrilling. The entire Marvel Universe has been turned inside out, and Blade is the only one left who remembers the way that things were supposed to be. In a world that has never known the Avengers and where villains such as Doctor Doom and the Red Skull have imbued themselves with the powers of the Juggernaut and Venom, it's hard to imagine any heroes would be left who are up to the task of saving the day. Thankfully, Earth still has some powerful defenders left to protect it in the form of the Squadron Supreme. Even if these alternate reality heroes are exactly the same as how longtime fans remember them, they are still very much a sight to behold.

Hyperion

The Squadron Supreme of Heroes Reborn are far different from their original incarnations, resembling the versions of themselves created by Mephisto to act as the Squadron Supreme of America more than their early 70's counterparts. One thing that both versions of the team share is their leader, Hyperion. This particular iteration of the character was first introduced during 2018's Avengers #10 by Ed McGuinness, David Marquez, Frazer Irving, Adam Kubert and Andrea Sorrentino. Much like the original alternate universe version, this Mark Milton was implanted with memories of growing up in small town America before becoming the veritable Superman he is today. Hyperion even competed in the recent tournament to become host to the Phoenix Force, though he yielded after realizing that a more open perspective was not what he really wanted out of life.

Blur

Stanley Stewart, much like his classic Marvel counterpart, is a speedster of incredible talent. The programming performed on Stanley's mind by the Power Elite and Phil Coulson left him believing that he had gained his powers by jogging through some strange mist that altered his body in unexplainable ways. Before taking on any heroic duties, Stanley occupied himself with a multitude of part-time jobs from computer programming to window washing and parcel delivery, usually doing all of them and more in a single day with ease thanks to his unique superhuman abilities. As part of the Squadron Supreme of America, the Blur has fought against Namor and his Defenders of the Deep in defense of the Roxxon corporation, as well as Frost Giants during an invasion by Malekith.

Power Princess

As far as Zarda Shelton can recall, she was born on Utopia Isle, a paradise on Earth populated solely by an ancient race of women warriors with astounding abilities. After venturing out into the world, Zarda came to love America and everything that it stands for, and soon enough she its team of superhero protectors as the Power Princess. Not only is Zarda one of the most powerful members of the team, but much like her original incarnation, she and Hyperion have become romantically involved, forming the most literal version of a power couple that the Marvel Universe has ever seen. A masterful combatant capable of lifting over twenty tons, Power Princess is likely the team's heaviest hitter in a fistfight.

Doctor Spectrum

Another of Mephisto's creations, Joseph Ledger holds memories of time spent as an astronaut before discovering the Power Prism during what would have otherwise been a normal spacewalk. With the powers granted by this cosmic artifact, Joseph is capable of flight as well as creating and manipulating energy of different kinds, creating constructs, weapons and even using it to directly attack his foes as Doctor Spectrum. Though Doctor Spectrum is weak to ultraviolet light, he has always been able to overcome whatever is thrown his way, even if right now that happens to be a twisted version of the Mad Titan Thanos himself.

Nighthawk

The final member of the Squadron Supreme of America is Kyle Richmond, aka Nighthawk. Following the deaths of his parents, Kyle trained himself to become an unstoppable fighter and unrelenting force for justice. Taking on the mantle of Nighthawk, Kyle has fought for years to wipe out the kind of violent crime that claimed the lives of those he loved most, becoming a skilled sleuth in the process. Not only was Nighthawk the only member of the team besides Hyperion chosen to compete for a chance at becoming host to the Phoenix Force, but he may even be the one other person than Blade who knows that something isn't right with his world. If that turns out to be the case, there is no telling how he or any of his teammates are going to handle the truth. Hopefully, they don't have to find out anytime too soon.
