Since its launch, Marvel's Avengers has dealt with some heavy criticism. Initial problems with bugs and gameplay have now evolved into an overall lack of communication from the developers regarding the status of more content coming to the game. Kate Bishop was a welcome surprise and showed the promise of what is to come, but communication is still an issue.

Thankfully, that issue looks to have been rectified following an update on Twitter.  According to an upcoming War Table, fans can expect a deep dive on Hawkeye's upcoming DLC and inclusion on February 16th. Hawkeye is used to putting a lot on his plate, but this could be his biggest challenge yet. Not only does this deep dive give more information, but it could also be the first step in saving the game from irrelevancy.

Kate Bishop Hawkeye Avengers Game

Clint Barton was the first to take up Hawkeye's mantle, but he isn't the only one. While he is new to the game, he could bring some old-school style to team combat, bringing some much-needed variety. There is no confirmation of his move set, but it is a safe assumption that Clint will not move the same as Kate. This means that he could instead be played with a more archery focused style that would give ranged players a fun option that isn't Iron Man or Black Widow.

Many technical issues surround the game's traversal and overall feel. For example, when it comes to movement, Captain America is much faster than the Hulk. Many fans of the characters have pointed out this and other technical issues throughout the game. Hawkeye's new DLC has the opportunity to bring in a lot more gameplay changes that will only stand to improve the title's quality of life.

Hawkeye is no stranger to being in over his head. From comics to the screen, he's notorious for getting into hair-raising situations, and the new DLC looks to keep that trend. Clint will be bringing in both new content and one of Marvel's most dangerous villains, the Maestro. Maestro is an alternate reality Hulk that is as evil as he is strong. The variety this DLC could bring to locations and bosses will be a welcome breath of fresh air.

Marvel's Avengers has long suffered from an overarching story that feels repetitive. There are only so many robots a player can destroy before progress feels stinted. The new Hawkeye DLC offers a huge opportunity to push the characters and their adventures in a big way. This will help reinvigorate new players who dropped off the game while giving new players a chance to hop onto the game, just in time for the next-gen conversion.

Hawkeye is growing in popularity with his brand new DLC and TV show, and his big debut must make a mark. Many exciting updates are coming with the new War Table and deep dive that are long overdue. With how much Marvel's Avengers has gone through since its launch, Hawkeye's new DLC has the potential to be the first of many bullseyes and ultimately save the game from fading in the distance.
