Now, enterprising Marvel fan Lance Harris has opened up about why he tried to sell a pair of tickets for an early Endgame screening for $15,000.
"My initial intent was to actually go see the movie because I’m a big Avengers fan," Harris told New Jersey News 12. "But then I saw online that someone was selling their tickets for $10,000 so I was like why not add the bar to $15,000 and I could help out with tuition and everything for college."
Harris continued to explain that someone actually placed a bid on the $15,000 pair of tickets, which were listed on eBay. However, the buyer apparently thought that the auction was for $1,500 and declined the sale. After the buyer canceled the sale, eBay gave Harris approximately $1,000 in credit.
As News 12 noted, some theaters in the area are sold out of tickets to Avengers: Endgame screenings until Wednesday.
