Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously teased more Skrull storylines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Captain Marvel. Some fans thought they might have even seen Talos return in Avengers: Endgame. Unfortunately, Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have debunked that fan theory.

At the end of Endgame, Peter returns to school and meets back up with Ned. Fans thought they spotted spotted actor Ben Mendelsohn as Talos -- in his human form -- high-fiving a student. However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Markus and McFeely confirmed Mendelsohn wasn't on set.

Still, that didn't keep the duo from having fun with the popular fan theory. "There are things people have told me about these movies, which we have worked on for nearly five years, that I've never seen, so I should probably watch it again," Markus said.

The man in the scene does look like Talos, sporting a similar suit to the one the Skrull leader donned while impersonating Fury's boss at S.H.I.E.L.D.. The actor in question does even resemble Mendelsohn. Unfortunately, while it may not be Talos at the school, the potential for Mendelsohn and the Skrulls to return in the MCU is still there.
