With the second trailer for Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios debuted the team's matching, red, white and black suits. But when merchandise began to surface a few months ago, the outfits were referred to as "Advanced Tech." There was never any confirmation from Marvel, and so some fans dubbed them "Quantum Realm Suits," following the theory that the heroes will travel to the subatomic realm at the center of the Ant-Man movies. However, now we finally have an official, if not particularly revealing, name, courtesy of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

"We call them the team suits," Feige told io9.

He went on to explain why the suits were revealed in the movie's marketing. "And we early on decided [revealing them] was a big differentiating factor between [Endgame] and the other films," Feige said. "The Avengers have never had matching outfits before, [so] we thought it was a very intriguing image to see something that made this film feel new."

"[We had to] make it feel more than just Infinity War II. Because it’s not,” he continued. “Those team suits add something fresh to it. As does Hawkeye, as does Captain Marvel. As does Scott Lang."

The purpose of these new suits as not been revealed. While some believe they will lead the team to the Quantum Realm, other speculation points to them as being designed for time travel, or simply to take the fight directly to Thanos in space.

When addressing the suits, Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo was a little more cryptic, telling io9, "Obviously anything that goes into the trailers is really well considered. And whatever people want to take away from that they can take away from that."

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 26.
