Following months of anticipation, the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame released yesterday. Now, that first look at the highly-anticipated sequel to Avengers: Infinity War has become the most-viewed trailer ever in a single day.Marvel Studios tweeted out the news, writing, "To the greatest fans in the world, thank you for being there from the beginning until the endgame and making this the most viewed trailer in history with 289M views in 24 hours!"RELATED: Avengers 4 Trailer May Confirm Another Victim of Thanos' Snap

Four of the top five most-viewed trailers in a single day are now held by Disney or one of its subsidiaries. In second place is now previous record holder Infinity War, which earned 230 million views in its first day. Third place belongs to the live-action remake of The Lion King, which snagged 224.6 million when it released in November. Warner Bros. Pictures' IT, the only non-Disney or Marvel film on the list, sits in fourth place at 197 million. Infinity War's second trailer is in the fifth slot with 179 million views.
